Product Questions
What's the difference between hard enamel and soft enamel?
Hard enamel pins have a smooth, polished surface where the enamel is filled flush with the metal lines — they feel sleek and premium to the touch. Soft enamel pins have recessed enamel fill, so you can feel the metal ridges between the colors. Both look great; hard enamel is generally more durable and scratch-resistant. Each product page specifies which type you're getting.
How big are the pins?
Most of our pins are between 1–1.5 inches wide. Exact dimensions are listed on each product page under the Specs section. If you don't see a size listed, email us at hello@thepintern.co and we'll measure it for you.
How do I care for my pins?
Store your pins away from moisture and direct sunlight. To clean, use a soft dry cloth — avoid abrasive materials. Hard enamel pins are scratch-resistant. Soft enamel pins have recessed fill, so avoid bending the post. Never soak pins in water.
Do you restock sold-out pins?
Sometimes. Core catalog pins may come back; limited edition and org-exclusive pins typically do not. Follow us on Instagram @thepintern.co or join our Desktop Dispatch newsletter to be the first to know about restocks.
Orders & Shipping
When will my order ship?
Most orders ship within 2–5 business days. You'll get a shipping confirmation with tracking as soon as your order is on its way. During new releases or high-volume periods, allow up to 7 business days.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — free domestic (US) shipping on all orders $35 and over. International orders ship at flat rates by region. See our Shipping Policy for full details.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship to Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and most countries worldwide. International shipping rates and estimated delivery times are listed at checkout and in our Shipping Policy.
Will I be charged duties or import taxes?
International orders may be subject to duties and import taxes. Where applicable, these are calculated and collected at checkout so there are no surprises at delivery.
Can I track my order?
All domestic orders include USPS tracking. You'll receive a tracking link in your shipping confirmation email. International tracking is provided but updates may be limited once the package leaves the US.
What if I entered the wrong shipping address?
Please double-check your shipping address before completing your order. Email us at hello@thepintern.co as soon as possible if you spot an error — we'll do our best to catch it before it ships, but we cannot guarantee changes once an order is in our packing queue. Orders returned to us due to an incorrect address will require a new shipping fee to re-send. See our Shipping Policy for details.
Returns & Issues
What is your return policy?
All sales are final. Due to the small-batch, handcrafted nature of our products, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations. Please review product descriptions, photos, and specs carefully before placing your order. Full details in our Refund Policy.
My pin arrived damaged. What do I do?
That's not the experience we want you to have. Email us at hello@thepintern.co within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a clear photo of the damage. We'll send a replacement — no return necessary.
I received the wrong pin. Help?
Our bad. Email us at hello@thepintern.co within 7 days with a photo of what arrived and your order number. We'll sort it out quickly.
What if my package is lost in transit?
If your tracking hasn't updated in 15+ business days (domestic) or 30+ days (international), email us at hello@thepintern.co and we'll work with you to find a resolution. For packages marked "Delivered" that you haven't received, please contact your local post office first and file a claim with the carrier — we're happy to provide documentation to support your claim.
Org & Custom Pins
How do I access org-exclusive pins?
Org-exclusive pins for Lambda Pi Upsilon, Lambda Theta Alpha, and Omega Phi Beta Sorority Inc. are available at thepintern.co/pages/orgs. These pins are made exclusively for members of each organization.
My org isn't listed. Can I request a custom pin?
Yes — we love creating org and group pins. Use the request form at the bottom of the Orgs page or email us directly at hello@thepintern.co with your org name, preferred design ideas, and estimated quantity. We'll get back to you within 3–5 business days.
What's the minimum order for a custom pin run?
Custom pin runs typically require a minimum of 50–100 units depending on the design. Email us to discuss your project and we'll walk you through the process and pricing.
